Our first news post

After 6+ months of effort, the Enderby Area Community Hub Society (EACH) is excited to finally be letting the community know about our project to repurpose St. Andrew's United Church as a Community Hub (aka Centre), having just come to terms on an acquisition deal with the United Church of Canada in mid-July.

Why the name? We chose Enderby Area Community Hub as our name to be unique in Enderby, where almost everything else is Enderby & District, and Hub to be unique from our primary tenant, the Enderby & District Community Resource Centre (thus not Community Centre) and we also avoided "Place" in our name because the EDCRC is also well know for their Family Place event on Wednesday mornings. Hub just seemed to have a nice unique ring to it - a Hub for Enderby.
